Odd things that happened around this time...
  • We bought something in a charity auction - a platinum disc awarded to Ed Bicknell (manager of Dire Straits) in acknowledgement of Mark Knopfler's contribution to the Big River album, after 300,000 copies were sold. One day we will get it photographed and add it to the site.
  • Interview in the Mirror 27 November.
  • Interview in News of the World on 21 November.
  • Good interview and pictures in "OK!" magazine dated 26 November.
  • Jimmy hosted a Radio 2 programme on Wednesday nights at 10pm, called "Blue Collar". It was about the music of "working people".
  • We bought "www.jimmynail.net"..
  • Jimmy was interviewed by Jonathan Ross on the radio on Saturday 30 October.
  • Jimmy appeared briefly on TV on Saturday 9 October during the opening of a sporting event in Newcastle (we missed it but were told).
  • The "official tour site" promised an interview appearing in the Mail and in the Express in October/November. We never found them - did anyone else?
  • The official tour site was http://www.jimmynailtour.com where you could order tickets to the gigs as well as CDs. They used (with our permission) some of the graphics from this site!
  • Jimmy's voice was the kid on the Safeway ads. Ahhh.
  • We had 2 queries from French TV journalists that wanted to do a feature on Jimmy Nail for MCMTV - sorry we couldn't help.
  • Single released "Blue Beyond the Grey".
  • Album released "Tadpoles in a Jar".
  • Jimmy was interviewed in the Sunday Mirror 9 May 1999.
  • Jimmy appeared on the Soap Awards on TV in May.
  • Jimmy Nail appeared live at Wollaton Park, Nottingham on 30 May 1999.
