...was collected by the hand, to the delight of the audience, by her younger brother (Jimmy Nail).

Tim Healy took the stage again in the second half to talk about the charity and how the evening was going. He announced a surprise prize draw where 2 tickets (seat numbers) would be picked out of a box and the prize was.......................dinner with Tim and Jimmy!!!!!!. At this point I was speachless, my heart was in my mouth. What would I do if I had the chance to meet Jimmy?. The 2 tickets were drawn and each time there was a squeal (females I believe). Even though I didn't win that priceless prize I couldn't help thinking about the people that did and how they must be feeling. I'm sure I wouldn't have been able to concentrate on the rest of the show.

The show continued and ended with Lindisfarne and the entire company first singing 'Fog on the Tyne' and then 'Run for Home'. To see these people, famous actors, musicians, singers etc having such a great time was amazing, they were ordinary people celebrating the life of someone they had loved and respected.

I have seen Jimmy Nail in concert several times but never has he looked as happy and relaxed as he did that night.

Being a big fan of Jimmy and all of the TV stuff he has done, I have seen a lot of Sammy Johnson and greatly appreciated his acting ability and talent. I wish the charity all the luck for the future. I would like to thank everyone that made the evening so memorable and enjoyable, and made our 600 mile round trip worthwhile.

There is obviously a lot of talent in the North East and I hope that the one good thing that comes out of all this is that others get the chance to shine.
