Well done Sharon! what a great website. I have been a fan since 'Take it or Leave it' in fact since the first time I heard Jimmy sing 'Love Don't Live Here.' I've been to all the Manchester concerts and really fancy him as well. He is gorgeous. I wish I could meet him.

Another wonderful show in Ipswich (8/12/99). Enjoyed singing along to Crocodile Shoes with 1,999 other people and 1 idiot who we all would like to have thumped. Or given a Jarrow kiss. Nice to "chat" but would have loved to have been even more involved and really talked to him. One of the two of us is a Geordie so loved Big River. Can't wait for the next tour. Maybe then we'll get him to sing Blaydon Races for us down here. Homesick!

Hi. Lisa and I travelled to Newcastle from near Brighton to see Jimmy in his home toon. We went on 19th and the concert was incredible and we managed to get tickets for the 20th. Jimmy played his usual set and told a great story about 'when Frankie Howard tried to shag him!' and also what he thought of Cliff Richards christmas single! At the end he bought on The Brown Star brass band and Had everyone singing Blaydon Races! The words were on a giant banner over the stage. After the concert we had our tickets autographed and he posed for a photo with a man at the stage door. On the 20th we took our camera just in case, and respected his wishes not to take photos during the concert, although many did. We asked afterwards if we could have a photo taken or if they could take a picture for us of him as we had travelled from Brighton, but were told no. We know it was our choice to spend the money to go, but there was only 4 people waiting at the stage door and we were very hurt that he would not see us.

First time I've been able to get tickets to see the lad! Had to go to Manchester though, couldn't get to see Jim in my hometown of Liverpool. Brilliant, can't wait for the next tour.

Hi, I'm an Australia fan of Jimmy's. Spender is showing here at the moment on cable -&- it's just brilliant as was Crocodile Shoes. I also came across Still Crazy recently -&- thought it was really funny. We don't hear much about Jimmy in Aus, so finding this web site was a revelation, I didn't know he'd done so many albums -&- is doing regular concerts! He truly is a gifted performer -&- gorgeous to boot. Lucky you to be able to see him in concert. Will he ever come to Aus??!! Will definitely try -&- track down his music here now. Keep up the great work on the site. cheers :)

Saw Jimmy's concert at Portsmouth - on Monday 13th December. Absolutely brilliant better than the week before at Worthing - if that's possible. I had a seat in the front row of the circle - which is the best place to be at the Guildhall. Jimmy was definately on top form, he seemed to sing more songs than at Worthing and included 'Blue Roses' one of my favourites. Spoke about different things - and remembered the time last year when he got locked in the park at Pompey (he gone there for a walk before the show). He spoke about the next tour being in aprox. 18 months time - can't wait.

Just to say that Jayne cole and myself are going to newcastle on sunday and that we went to croydon in nov and that this is the best concert format he has done. he is just at his best and what a laugh.

Just writing to say I saw Jimmy live in Glasgow on 30th November and this different format was excellent. His support group Celtus were a very complimentary style and I also bought their album. Jimmy seems to enjoy the Glasgow gigs, and they do seem to keep him on his toes!!!

Sharon just wanted to say thanks for taking me to see Jimmy Nail in concert on Monday 6th December 1999. I had a great time and think Jimmy is a top bloke !!!!. The Web site is amazing !!!
Terri Fellows | 08/Dec/1999:18:50:49
Saw Jimmy in concert at Worthing last night. Absolutely BRILLIANT - very laid back and relaxed. I was in the 2nd row, and found the whole thing most enjoyable, it felt like a personal evening with family and friends. Support band CELTUS were good - but only 3 members; it said 5 in the programme. Got my programme signed after the concert, Jimmy had to do the autographs on the bus - manager said it was too cold for Jimmy to stand outside, he must protect his voice. Jimmy said "Thanks for being a good audience and have a safe journey home". Although looking thinner, he was very happy and relaxed. Going to Portsmouth next week - can't wait!!

Hi Sharon I Love your web site my husband Steve -&- I were looking for info on Jimmy Nail yesterday, but could'nt find much elsewhere. We live here in Australia and have just seen Crocodile Shoes II for the second time it is fantastic. What we wanted was to find out if Jimmy's Album Crocodile shoes II had been released here in Australia, as I would love to get a copy. Jimmy is so talented his songs are wonderful. I don't recall Jimmy ever visiting us here in Australia could you find out if he has plans to come down under the weather here is fantastic in Queensland I'm sure that he'd like it. This is the very first time we have sent anything over the internet. Steve -&- I live in Brisbane. we have lived here for 26yr. since we arrived here from London. Thanks again for all the info on Jimmy. Bye for now Penny |

HE'S AMAZING ISNT HE...HOW CAN A MAN STAND UP ON AN 'EVENING OF SONGS AND STORIES' AND MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE A PERSONAL FRIEND SHARING A CHAT OVER A CUP OF TEA!!!!! THIS MAN IS AN ARTIST...BETTER LIVE THAN ON CD.. I'D LIKE TO SEE HIM DO AN EVENING WITH ON T.V. AND SHOW ALL THOSE CYNICS WHAT A TRUE PERFORMER HE IS! I SAW HIM AT POOLE...FOUND IT HARD TO STAY IN MY SEAT ...UNLIKE MOST OF THE OTHERS WHO I'M SURE JUST CAME ALONG TO KEEP WARM....CANT BELIEVE YOU COULD HAVE WATCHED THAT SHOW AND NOT HAVE BEEN MOVED. 'CELTUS' WERE SUPERB!
Christine Carr | 04/Dec/1999:21:52:07
Went to the Bradford gig on the 12th November, it was so good that I also went to Preston last Friday. Having seen Jimmy more than once on all his tours, I have to say that I like the new format, it IS different but it's nice to hear him talk more about himself. The songs were great and well chosen for a quieter sort of evening, having said that, the big man has a real talent for story telling and had me laughing all the time. His feet are well and truly on the ground and he's refreshingly in touch with the REAL world. He finished the evening with the old Beatles song "I get by with a little help from my friends" - everyone was singing along and it was a happy up-beat end to a good concert. I live in a remote part of the Yorkshire Dales and I have to travel at least 2 hours every time I go to see Jimmy - it doesn't stop me though - I'm off to Manchester next Friday! Hope it doesn't snow.

Hi, I own a guest house in Aberdeen and had 2 guests staying with me who had travelled all the way from Fochabers in the North of Scotland to see Jimmy perform last night in Aberdeen. This morning at breakfast I saw 2 very disappointed fans. When I asked why they told me that Jimmy had only sang 6 songs and had spent the rest of the night speaking about himself. Rather than not know, I thought I would let Jimmy know through yourself (I presume he reads this web page) what some fans think of this new format. These girls are real fans and were down last year when Jimmy was here and thought it was great then. Regards Ann Kelly |

Dear Jimmy Was at your concert in Aberdeen last night with my daughter and her friend. We all had a really great time and could have sat there all night. My daughter and her friend asked questions about your sons and Boyzone they both now think that you are much better than Boyzone but I told them that before we went. I want to thank you for your music it has got me through some bad and good times, like yourself Big River really gets to me. Thank you once again for a great night and hurry back. Best Regards Shirley Bowler |

W.A. Ward said: "the secret of life is to dare, the spice of life is to befriend, and the essence of life is to care" and we were extremely fortunate to experience all three just recently thanks to two extraordinary people. We travelled from Canada to see and hear Jimmy perform on November 7th at the Palladium and it was a fantastic experience. The all too short "moment in time" we shared with him will forever be etched in our memories. Thank you Jimmy as the evening was all we hoped it would be and more. Moreover, it was not only memorable because of the "stories and songs", but also because we shared it with special people. "With a little help from my friends" is what the man sang...how did he know? A heartfelt thank you to our friends Sharon and Alan for such a fabulous time and helping make a dream a reality.

We saw Jimmy at De Montfort Hall last night and really enjoyed the show - rather different from the previous 3 concerts we've been to. We were a little disappointed not to have had a bop! However it was a bit like 'An audience with Jimmy Nail' and being on the very front row directly in front of the great man it certainly was an 'intimate evening of stories -&- songs'. We saw Jimmy at the stage door afterwards and he signed autographs on the bus (as usual) Celtus the support band were also excellent. Great web site, well done!
carol jackson | 11/Nov/1999:18:48:12

Alex Bonnell | 08/Nov/1999:19:46:56
I saw Jimmy in concert on the 5th November in Croydon. Having been a Jimmy fan since Auf and been to every concert since Crocodile shoes I was gravely disappointed (sorry I know not the thing for a fan page) but may have enjoyed it more if I had known that the great man had changed his style so much and so been forwarned-hence my email. Going on a Friday night expecting the usual great music, good evening -I was sad that the concert was short and lacked direction. Sorry Jimmy you need to change a bit-the crowd left like a funeral-many shaking their heads at what had gone on. I will go when you come round again Im sure but want more of the old Nail PLEASE.
Jayne Cole | 06/Nov/1999:09:11:09
Hi Sharon, Just thought I'd let you now that Lisa and I went to see Jimmy last night at Croydon. Still as sexy as ever!! We decided not to wait at the stage door as he always goes straight to his coach or car. As we came out of the car park we saw two fans who we'd met before and pulled over to chat then who should walk out? Only sex on legs. We called him over and he came and chatted to us and signed all of our bits. He was really friendly and relaxed. We asked for a kiss but he said " I can't do that I'm a married man!" but he shook our hands. Twice. He seemed so different to past years. So relaxed. The concert was as fantastic as ever too. Roll on Nexcastle thats what we say. P.s. Love the new design. |

Hi there! I just saw the movie "Still Crazy" and loved it! I must say after reading all the letters on your website I feel a little behind the times but, better late than never. Here in Houston I found one copy of the movie soundtrack and got it home as fast as I could and can't wait to hear more! What a "cutie". Bill Nighy isn't bad either. Nice work on the site. I'll keep it bookmarked and check back for more updates.

Just been reconnected to the internet and told of your brill site by my bezzy mate Lisa Stoner who signed the guestbook 27/6/99. I've looked in the past and found only out of date sites. Congratulations on a first class site. Lisa and I are seeing Jimmy (sex on legs) at Croydon on the 5th November and flying to Newcastle on 19th December. We've always wanted to see him in his home town. A dream come true. If anyone fancies meeting up at either concert or just comparing notes drop me a line at jcole@bun.com. We saw him 3 times last year and twice the year before. November 5th can't come quick enough for us! Once again congratulations on a great site. Howay the lads. |

We have followed Jimmy plus all the otherlads(have not heard/seen "Bomber" lately) since Auf Wedersen Pet. We saw Jimmy at the SECC in Glasgow a couple of years back and we are looking forward to see him again in Glasgow in november. An idea for jimmy, write a play/series with the lads from "Auf Wed" and project them 10/15 years on as "captains of differing aspects of the building trade" such electrical sub contractor owner, plant hire owner, Plumbing firm owner etc all coming together to work on a big project. It will take a couple of years to write and forcast all of the gangs availability to bring them together again. Great Malcolm -&- Heather |

I live in Canada and got hooked on Spender a few years ago. I was impressed with the writing, the character development and Jimmy Nail himself. Have since seen everything I could that Jimmy's done and bought the only copies of his CD's that come to my town. I was in Newcastle briefly last fall and was very excited to be in "Jimmy Nail country". Hearing the Geordie accent for real! Jimmy is a real talent without compromising himself, his background or his family. I respect him, he seems like a great guy and yes, to quote one of the fans who wrote in, he is sex on legs for sure! I wish he'd come to Canada for a concert.

It's reasuring to know that my wife isn't the only Jimmy Nail fan in the country, she drives me absolutely crackers with the cd's and albums. I spent hours on the telephone yesterday trying to get tickets for the concert at plymouth Pavilions in November, but unfortunately Daniel O'Donnell tickets went on sale at exactly the same time. So, this is the fourth time she'll have seen him, and is threatening to travel to Truro for a fifth time. Her ultimate ambition is to actually meet the man, so if anyone knows of how the opportunity may arise, or any contact addresses, please let her know. Finally, I love you, Sue, I wouldn't change you for the world, and all the tickets I keep buying for you are worth every penny. Thanks for the website, I can now get some peace.

I nearly did not bother to look to see if there were any Jimmy Nail pages on the Web as I have looked before and none of the ones there were very interesting. However, it just goes to show. This ones brill! I have been a huge fan of Jimmy's ever since 'Ain't No Doubt'. What a voice! (and he's gorgeous too!). I have seen Jimmy twice; once at Wembley Arena and once at the Royal Albert Hall (I managed front row, centre of stage for that one!). I was in shock for days after I bought that ticket!!! Well hurry up Jimmy, announce those dates!

I have just had the opportunity to listen to "Tadpoles in a Jar." Absolutely superb!!! My fav is "Blue Beyond the Grey." I just love the tone of his CD's, they're so dreamy and moody, just like he seems to be, and sooooo meaningful!!! Keep 'em coming Jimmy!! If anyone out there is a die-hard JN fan like me, I would be happy to correspond. Please email me. Cheers, Val |

Nice to see that there's a decent page devoted to Jimmy. I discovered his music through "Croc.Shoes II", and it moved me deeply. There's something about his style that is so special, and the lyrics are great too. Love the "Big River"-album... Please come to Bergen, Norway, Jimmy.

I am an Australian fan of some 5 years (though born in Nth Wales). Although we have seen Crocodile Shoes I -&- II, Spender and Auf Weidersein Pet (way back in the 80's) we don't seem to have a lot of information on Jimmy here. Thanks to our Cable Channels who are currently reshowing both Crocodile Shoes and Auf Weidersein Pet presently. They also showed the rest of the Spender series that our commercial channels didn't bother to do. I had not heard there was a new album until reading this page and I shall go and look for it or get it imported from Britain (as I had to do with others). It would be nice to know if Jimmy ever intends to tour Australia. I'm sure there'd be lots of people who'd love to see him here. Thanks for the information. Regards Tracey

Hi from London, Ontario, Canada. Thanks to our hosts for welcoming us to such an outstanding site. It is positively invaluable to international fans. Well done! Jimmy Nail is undoubtedly a multi- faceted performer whose music is not only entertaining but also thought provoking. "Blue Beyond The Grey" and "Tadpoles In A Jar" are phenomenal! I sure hope we hear much more from this gifted musician.
